My son suffers from dermatitis
Dermatitis which is also known as eczema refers to a group of diseases that results in inflammation of the skin. These diseases are characterised by itchiness, red skin and a rash. My son suffers from this illness and sometimes his skin gets small blisters which last a few weeks, but more often his outbreaks last longer and his skin becomes thickened and then cracks which is very painful. The area of skin affected are mostly on the back of his neck, his arms and hands and his feet.
This disease affects many young people across the world. Dermatitis was estimated to affect 245 million people globally in 2015. Atopic dermatitis is the most common type and generally starts in childhood. Contact dermatitis is twice as likely to happen in female than male. My son has been suffering from this condition since very early age and has gradually become more disabling. Since his illness has made it very difficult for him to attend school full time, we decided to support his education with home schooling.
Homeschooling which is also known as home education is the education of children at home or a variety of other places. In Home education sometimes parents involve private tutors and sometimes they don't. Recently with the advent of online tuition, the parents prefer to involve online tutors. Inviting tutors to the house is not very convenient at times.
On average, homeschoolers score at or above the national average on standardised tests. Homeschool students have been accepted into many Ivy League universities.
Does online education work?
At the very early stages of our search for online tutors to help us with our son's homeschooling we found Wiztut. On Wiztut we found tutors who were very experienced in homeschooling and the concerns that parents have. Besides Wiztut has dedicated consulting personnel that advise and guided us step by step. Also the tutors on Wiztut who me we could find and contact freely, were independent tutors who were using the Wiztut platform to conduct their own tutoring business. This meant that they were very responsive professionals.
We believe that one day every child will be able to be educated at home. However for now, we decided to donate the appropriate hardware to Our son school which allows him to attend some of his lessons via internet connection and the Wiztut online whiteboard. Wiztut has been very helpful and allowed us to open a tutor account on Wiztut via which allows us to connect with school and attend some of the classes.
